All in the Family

After many months of thoughtful consideration I have finally decided to follow in the footsteps of one of the great bloggers of all time, my daughter Sarah.  After reading of her exploits from both near and far for the past 2 summers it is now her turn to follow a family member (members) as they attempt to put in to words what she has no difficulty in expressing.
Next week I am embarking on a 2 week odyssey, more commonly known as the summer vacation.  The cast of characters for this adventure include yours truly, Emily aka The Sheriff, Zachary aka Junior and Chris aka The Big Cat. For those not familiar they are 2 of my children and my brother.
We are headed to the west coast, beginning and ending in Los Angeles.  In between we are stopping in Vegas for a rock concert (I hope they like loud music), the Sierra Nevada's to appreciate the mountains ( I hope they like walking up and downhill), San Francisco ( I know they like chinese food), the pacific coast ( I know they will like the view and hope they don't mind spending a day without me as I attempt to tangle with pebble beach) and finally Southern California.
Along the way I anticipate a lot of laughter,  plenty of disagreements and even more photographs.  I know we will try to remain on the schedule that the Sheriff has entered in to her spread sheet on her macbook but think( and hope) there will be plenty of times the unexpected becomes the memorable. We will stop and see friends and family along the way, anticipate making new friends and knowing my warm and fuzzy disposition a couple of enemies too.  Did I forget to mention I don't like heights and driving high in the mountains is something I will leave for the big cat and sheriff. I will drive in the desert to Vegas and pick my spots along the way.  Arguments over what music to listen to (driver has priority)  where to eat (Diners Drive Inns and Dives has priority) and when to stop ( Emily has priority) are inevitable.
Last minute preparations (when do preparations become last minute?) have begun, and I will continue to post updates along the way.  Thanks for following, Dean.
